FM89.3 WYPL is the radio station for the Memphis Public Libraries. During the daytime, we are a radio reading service for the blind and otherwise print impaired. In the evenings and early morning hours, we play the best music from Memphis and the Mid-South, featuring music from the Memphis Public Libraries' Memphis Music CollectionThe history of public libraries in Memphis begins at 236 Front St, where Cossitt Library first opened its doors in 1893. At the building’s dedication, Reverend F.P. Music Lake radio is a mood altering experience, a deep relaxation trip into sweet downtempo music, tender synths and cleverly composed cosmic chill out ballads, with a hint of natural sounds to bring it all together!
