Black Rhino Radio is a project promoting artists, music, and the culture behind the sound. Set around people with a background in music and visual arts, the team behind summons over 15 years of experience. On every project, we make the voices of both established and emerging artists heard. The online station promotes the diversity of music and people. The Black Rhino Radio community summons musicians, visual artists, DJs, professionals, record store owners, selectors, label owners, promoters, and music lovers. With each show put out on the world wide web, we aspire to bring a feeling of happiness for both the broadcaster and the audience.
Our radio isnt just about playing music it is also about keeping our listeners up dated with important local community news such funeral announcements, training and jobs opportunities, celebrating weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and young people passing their A level exams. From March 1999 we changed our name to Radio Asian Fever and started working towards being legalized by broadcasting on the Restricted Service License (RSL). Fever FM as now known delivered 9 RSL broadcasts, in October 2005 and against all odds we were awarded the full – time Community radio License by OFCOM. We broadcast programs in English, Urdu / Hindi, Punjabi, and Mirpuri. From our online service, we have built up a strong listener ship from other parts of UK and across the world.
m4d radio is part of the Music for Dementia campaign to make music accessible for everyone living with dementia. Our ambition is to make music a part of care for all those living with dementia.
